The aim of this project was to redesign the existing Chesapeake Bay Program’s website to make it responsive and mobile-first. The redesign aimed to enhance the user experience for visitors accessing the website on mobile devices, ease the sharing of content, and maintain the existing content management system architecture.
Working with a larger team, including content developers, videographers, programmers, and federal/state employees, etc., I took on the lead role for the discovery and design phases of the project. During the discovery phase, I focused on defining the website's users, competitive analysis, and information architecture. The target audience for the website consists of Chesapeake Bay watershed residents, tourists, educators, and environmental advocates. In the design phase, I created and presented various design mockups for approval, including a redesign of the Chesapeake Bay Field Guide.
