Hi, I'm Zach,
a Maryland-based experience designer. I currently work as the manager of the digital learning experience at UMGC, and previously as a senior user experience designer at Novetta. I enjoy crafting usable products and drinking caffeinated beverages.

I’m a full-stack user experience leader and designer with over ten years of experience crafting beautifully simple digital and print experiences that delight, educate, and help people. My experience ranges from product discovery to deployment, and I’m passionate about people-first team building and agile product development. I strongly believe in a user-centered design process that aligns user needs, business goals, and technological capabilities to deliver usable and accessible experiences.
Of course, there’s more to life than work.
I have a beautiful, brilliant wife who frequently beats me at Smash Up and loves that Survivor show. And an adorable, hilarious son who plays a lot of Minecraft because that’s what kids do.
In my free time, you might find me watching horrible made-for-TV movies, playing tabletop role-playing games, and enjoying the occasional nap (just not at work, of course).
